Hi there, my name is Jody Coyle (she/they) and I am the human behind Happy Vulva Club. As you are probably aware, I'm a massive advocate for the vulva and am interested in everything from art to anatomy.

I've always had the vision of creating a community space for like-minded people to link up with other vulva-positive individuals. Bringing together people from all different fields, who are all working hard to celebrate and/or educate others about the vulva in their very own ways. And that's why Happy Vulva Club was born!

The Vulva Circle is a free membership, which brings together vulva-positive people from different fields of work. We welcome all, from experts to artists - and everything in between.

This includes but is not limited to, gynae health advocates, sex educators, small biz owners, charities and journalists.

Many of our community are faced with censorship and algorithm issues on social media because our content stupidly ‘goes against guidelines’ and so they have us shadowbanned or have posts removed. This is why we have put together our newsletter, In Vulva News.

All members of The Vulva Circle have the opportunity to contribute to our monthly newsletter, where you can update the community on your latest products/projects/campaigns and resources.

Not only this, members will be listed here on our website and have the chance to feature on our social media.

Unfortunately we can't take every application on, as our newsletter would be massive! We take several factors into account when bringing new members in. For example…

• Do you share the same ethos and values as Happy Vulva Club?

• What is your presence on social media?

• Have we already got many members in the same field and speciality as you? 

So please try not to be disheartened if your application is not successful and don't let it put you off from applying again in the future.

Consent

• You must consent to sharing your details via our sign up form to become a member of The Vulva Circle and to feature in our newsletter and on our website www.happyvulvaclub.com.

• You must consent to having your data stored by Jody Coyle, founder of Happy Vulva Club, in order to be a member of The Vulva Circle.

• You should not share any personal email addresses, social media profiles and contact details. We instead recommend business-only social media pages, websites, and email addresses.

Newsletter, website and social media

• You must contribute to our newsletter, In Vulva News, at least every 3 months with an update on your work in order to keep your membership status. If you are unable to provide us with an update, please let us know.

• You should follow @happyvulvaclub on all the social media platforms you are active on, engage with our content and help us to grow the Happy Vulva Club community. (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.)

• You should join our newsletter mailing list to receive In Vulva News straight to your inbox.

• You should share with us any upcoming events you will be involved in, to feature in our newsletter and our website calendar.

• You should tag us in social media posts @happyvulvaclub for the opportunity to have your content shared on our platforms.

Your rights (Applying members)

• You hold the right to end your membership with The Vulva Circle at any time by emailing happyvulvaclub@gmail.com. You will be removed from our database, future features in our newsletter and from our Members List on our website.

• You hold the rights to all your content shared with Happy Vulva Club. You will always be given credit for content and resources you share with us in our newsletter, website and social media.

• You hold the right to not have your personal data sold to any third parties.

Our rights (Happy Vulva Club)

• We hold the right to choose which applicants we accept to join The Vulva Circle, based on whether we share the same ethos, your social media presence, how many members we have already have in your field of work and such factors. If your application is not successful you will be given a reason why. It does not stop you from reapplying in the future.

• We hold the right to decline updates to share in our newsletter, if we do not feel that they are in line with our ethos or if they do not meet our guidelines.

• We hold the right to remove your membership status with good reason.
